Privacy Policy
In short: we use your phone number to sign you in, your location to show restaurants that can deliver to you, and your address to deliver your order. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
Who we are
K-Dawat is an ordering app that connects customers with restaurants that use the K-Dawat restaurant system. Each restaurant prepares and delivers its own orders. Questions about this policy: kabirahmadpaf@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Mobile number — to sign you in with a one-time code, and so the restaurant and rider can call you about your order. Your number also links the reward coins you earn at a restaurant.
- Name — so the restaurant and rider know who the order is for.
- Location — only while the app is open, to find restaurants near you and show how far away they are. We never collect location in the background.
- Delivery addresses — the pin, house/street and landmark you save, used to deliver your orders.
- Orders — what you ordered, from which restaurant, the total and how you paid, so you can track and repeat orders and the restaurant can prepare them.
- Payment receipts — if you pay by bank transfer, the receipt photo you upload, so the restaurant can confirm your payment. We do not collect card numbers.
Riders
Riders are staff of the restaurant. While a rider has a delivery open and the app is open, the rider's location is shared with the customer of that delivery so they can follow it. Sharing stops when the delivery is finished.
Who we share it with
- The restaurant you order from (and its rider): your name, number, address and order.
- Service providers that run the app for us: hosting and database, and the service that sends sign-in codes (SMS or WhatsApp). They may only use the data to provide that service.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and order history while your account is active, so you can see past orders and reorder. Restaurants keep order records as required for their accounting. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Deleting your account
Email kabirahmadpaf@gmail.com from any address, with the subject "Delete my K-Dawat account" and your mobile number. We delete your account, saved addresses and sign-in data within 30 days. Orders already placed may be kept by the restaurant for its legal and accounting records.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Sign-in codes are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form and expire after 5 minutes.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
